ZeShan Philanthropy Forum Series:
Ford Foundation's Samantha Gilbert on Talent Management

Samantha Gilbert, vice president for talent and human resources of the US-based Ford Foundation, shared her take on talent management with foundation leaders on April 20, 2015.

In the ZeShan Philanthropy Forum Series luncheon, attended by principals and senior executives of a select group of Hong Kong-based private foundations, Ms. Gilbert shared her insights on the underlying philosophy in talent management and what it means for the advancement of philanthropy in the 21st century.

Ms. Gilbert is a veteran in talent development and human resources management. She was chief human resources officer of the US-based Rockefeller Foundation and senior vice president, global head of human resources of Christie’s International, before becoming the Ford Foundation’s first-ever vice president for talent and human resources.

The ZeShan Philanthropy Forum Series, organized by ZeShan Foundation, is part of the foundation’s mandate of promoting philanthropy and an extension and continuation of its Family Philanthropy: Values and Strategy Forum in 2009. The series, taking place periodically throughout the year, creates a unique platform for like-minded donors to exchange ideas, share experiences, stimulate thinking and network in a peer setting.
